30 Days of Sunshine!

It’s official! The Cameron family is embarking on another camper van journey in June. This could be our last big adventure in our 19 feet of paradise on wheels — if we can bring ourselves to let go of the van that has been our “second home” for almost one-third of our lives since 2010. Yes, that’s FOUR PEOPLE living in a camper van for TWO FULL YEARS!

Despite my daily bouts of cabin fever, I have to admit that the van has been incredibly good to us. If we do sell Morrison (as I like to call him, though the kids never quite embraced that name), I can think of no better send-off than a 4,200+ km book tour around British Columbia.

You’ll be hearing a lot more about this tour. I’ll blog when I have something to say — and I’m sure I’ll have something to say — though I’ll channel the more frenetic posts (those ones that document every little detail of our travels) to my Facebook and Twitter feeds, where they belong. For this trip, I’m actually embracing Twitter for the first time. It just seems like the best way to keep people apprised of our whereabouts as we meander our way to more than 20 locations around the province — a variety of libraries, book stores, farmers’ markets and more.

For now, here is a sneak peek of our promotional campaign — another uber-creative design from the one-and-only Weegee Sachtjen!

    1. Don’t worry, Marg. We’ll be posting it to Facebook and my website too. I’m new to Tweeting myself … but see it as a good place for small, quick and frequent posts (aka “tweets”).

  1. Hi Marc, Sheila, Iris and Simon. Today is the day our paths of life go different ways. It was very nice to travel as kind of neighbours between Prince George and Port Hardy for the last couple of days. Life has many nice suprises and meeting you and your family was one of them. We wish you all the best for your book tour and a safe trip home.
    Love Monique and Chris
